FBHVC Show Update

By Ian Northeast | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 7 March, 2020 | 0

In mid February we were invited by the FBHVC (federation of British Historic vehicle clubs) to have some space on their stand at the Race Retro show at Stoneleigh Park. The show was a huge success and attracted a very knowledgeable crowd. As well as appealing to the general public we also generated a lot

For the first time since America in 2018 the male members of the team based in the UK have had the opportunity to get together. We have been very kindy invited by the FBHVC to bring our car, this weekend, to the Race Retro show at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. A truly beautiful, if damp

New Year Revelry

By Ian Northeast | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 17 January, 2020 | 0

Or more accurately New Year Aero Since our last visit to Utah in 2018 whilst we have been busy showing and working on the car, we have also been busy researching ways to make the car faster, safer and more reliable. Amongst the updates we have already carried out, as our regular followers will know,

Boring Technical Stuff

By Ian Northeast | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 20 October, 2019 | 0

Last year while we were preparing the car between our Pendine runs and loading the car into the container an awful lot of work was carried out. After our South Wales adventure the only thing that remained in the car was the roll cage. The complete car was stripped down, loads of sand was removed

The wonders of long distance shipping

By Ian Northeast | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 25 September, 2019 | 0

For a short while it looked like our racing luck had followed us from the salt last year. We had this fantastic idea about getting all the larger items that we needed from the USA together in one place to save on shipping. Unfortunately in keeping with the project history we had failed to do

Bonneville Speed Week 2019 Report

By Ian Northeast | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 18 August, 2019 | 0

Speed Week 2019 will go down as one of the oddest SCTA events of all time. During the build up to the event in Utah everything looked to be well on course (pun intended). The salt was drying from the winter rains nicely and the team of SCTA volunteers had manged to drag three courses.

We've finished showing off, so we're back getting her hands dirty!

Last Chance to see The Car

Wow, look at this, you don’t hear from us for ages and now two updates in short succession. Following on from our success at the Jensen Owners Club International meeting over the weekend of the 21st to 23rd of June, we are currently keeping the car clean for one last show. Not long after our

Show Season

Racing based work on the car has ground to a halt at the moment. There are a number of reasons for this. Firstly our fabricator has had to undergo surgery on a shoulder injury. Poor Harry has had his arm in a sling for six weeks now, with the prospect of another six weeks of

Making the most of every opportunity

Apologies for the delay in this post, real life has crept up on us and we have had to go to work to feed our Land speed racing habit. Work is continuing on the car at a relatively slow pace. Our new gearbox has now been obtained and the rest of the associated items, clutch,

Back on track

We are very pleased to announce that we will be making all preparations for a return to Bonneville in 2020. With the lessons learnt last year we now have a list of things to change or repair and hopefully have all the information we need to reach our target speed of 200 mph. As our

London Classic Car Show 2019

By Ian Northeast | Uncategorized | Comments are Closed | 20 February, 2019 | 0

As seems to be all too common I will start the with an apology. Over the winter with the cold temperatures very little has happened to the car itself. As such there was little progress to report, whilst we weren’t idle there was very little to write about. As previously reported the underside of the
