As the car is on the water at the moment our opportunities for any engineering improvements are severly limited.
The last few years have been very hard on the project and all of the delays and global price rises in all aspects have had a negative affect on the team.
For the movie buffs amongst you ….
The above sentiment is as true now as it was in 1979 when the film this was featured in was released.
We are planning on going really fast and it’s taking a lot of money.
So, in a nutshell, this is a begging letter.
We are fortunate enough that we have an extremely unusual vehicle which always draws an awful lot of attention. Our last trip in 2018 saw the car in a number of magazines, TV programmes, blogs, web based videos and even a movie. As such the exposure for the names featured on the car was higher than anyone could have predicted.
We can see no reason why this will not happen again.
We have space available to display your company or organisation name on the car.
If you would like to be part of this exciting and unusual project, please use the contact form.
It was mentioned after our previous message that it appeared that Bonneville speed week was imminent. That is not the case, speed week is August 5th to 11th. By shipping all of the vehicles out now we will find ourselves ahead of the game.
As this message is being written our container is half way across the Atlantic bound for Panama. The scheduled docking date in San Francisco is May 10th, but as all things shipping related, this is likely to change.
As soon as the container has cleared customs it will be transferred to our storage facility in eastern california.
